About

Nikole Breault is always losing herself in stories, be it her own or someone else’s.  Her husband has been known to gift her books the night before a celebration, to give her time to submerge herself in the words for awhile before needing to resurface.

Nikole took her passion for stories and her love of education and pursued a career in teaching.  Nikole earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education and taught for eight years. She spent the first five years teaching at an inner-city school and the last three years in a rural school.  During that time, she also earned her Master of Education degree in the Teaching of Writing from Plymouth State University in May of 2014. Nikole left teaching in 2015 on an extended maternity leave when her youngest daughter was born.  As the maternity leave came to an end, Nikole decided to resign from teaching and become a stay-at-home mom. It was during that time that she decided to rekindle her first dream of becoming an author and pursue a career built on losing herself in stories.

Nikole is a Young Adult author. She is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and actively involved in her local chapter Peer Critique group. When she’s not writing, Nikole can be found either on a yoga mat, curled up in a chair with a good book, walking the family chug (chihuahua-pug), or chasing adventures in the mountains with her husband and two girls.
